The workshop will consist of presenting on-going papers in the field of economic integration, both real (international trade) and financial (international finance). Participants will have 20 minutes to present their works, and then a discussant will open the general discussion by asking a couple of questions.

  1. Each participant must make and pay for their own hotel reservation and ensure that the hotel issues an invoice in their name.
  2. The invoice should be sent to Alicia Moreno at Universitat Jaume I (Phone: +34 964 72 85 35, Email: olea@uji.es), with a copy to Cecilio Tamarit and Francisco Requena (Cecilio.Tamarit@uv.es, Francisco.Requena@uv.es). This is necessary to request reimbursement for the maximum amount allowed by the Generalitat, which is €65.90 per night.

This year, instead of one-night-only full rate, we can offer reimbursement for up to 2 hotel nights at the above-mentioned rate. According to the guidelines, eligible nights include the night before the workshop starts and the night it ends.

We are pleased to announce the celebration of the XXII Workshop on Economic Integration, organized by the INTECO joint research unit in Economic Integration, to be held at the University of Valencia on the 27th and 28th of November 2025. In this edition, our invited keynote speaker will be Alejandro Cuñat (University of Vienna). In addition, we will also have a round-table on “A new international order? Challenges for the EU” with the participation of Javier Pérez, Director of the Monetary Policy and International Economy Department at the Bank of Spain, David Martínez Turégano from European Economy, CaixaBank Research and Andreas Fuchs from University of Goettingen.

Analogously to previous years, the workshop will consist of presenting on-going papers in the field of economic integration, both real (international trade) and financial (international finance). Participants will have 20 minutes to present their works, and then a discussant will open the general discussion by asking a couple of questions. There are no registration fees. Presenters/discussants of accepted papers will be covered one hotel night plus social meals.

There will be a special dedicated session to PhD students’ presentation. In case you are interested in the workshop, either presenting or discussing papers, please let us know by email to: inteco@uji.es before the 20th October.
